Driving up from Cairns
A very pleasant drive up the North Queensland coast. We stopped for a bit of sightseeing on the way.

Our apartment in Port Douglas was 5 mins on foot from this beach. Water temperature a bracing 30 degrees!

We rented a 3 bedroom apartment. Excellent accommodation, 5 min walk to the beach, 10 min walk to town. Recommended.

Relaxing by the complex pool. The shade sails had been removed in anticipation of cyclone Nathan which was expected the following day.
